Does the high speed brushless motor need a driver
At this stage, many automation equipment manufacturers are very concerned about high speed brushless motors. They all like to use high speed brushless motors to replace motors with insurmountable shortcomings such as low efficiency and high noise, such as three-phase asynchronous motors and stepper motors. In fact, the high speed brushless motor is inseparable from the driver. This is determined by the principle of the brushless motor.
High speed brushless motor uses electronic commutator instead of mechanical commutator. Due to electronic commutation, a DC brushless motor requires a drive circuit. The high speed brushless motor commutation circuit consists of two parts: drive and control. These two parts are not easy to separate, especially for low-power circuits, these two parts are usually integrated into a single application specific integrated circuit. In a high-power brushless DC motor, the drive circuit and the control circuit can be integrated separately.
The drive circuit outputs power to drive the armature winding of the motor, and is controlled by the control circuit. The driving circuit has changed from linear amplification state to pulse width modulation switch state, and the corresponding circuit composition has also changed from a transistor discrete circuit to a modular integrated circuit. The modular integrated circuit consists of power bipolar transistors, power field effect transistors and isolated gate field effect bipolar transistors. Although the isolation gate field effect bipolar transistor is relatively expensive, it is still more suitable from the perspective of reliable safety and performance.
